Amber Laura Heard is still very young, at the age of 23, but has been acting since she was 17.
She is coming from Austin, Texas where she was born back in 1986, on Apr 22nd - making her a Taurus in horoscope. In 2004, she left high school ad went to find her happiness in modeling in NY, but then travelled across the country to Hollywood, to get into acting. Her background involvement in schools drama productions gave her a bit of experience in acting.
Getting to LA, she scored her first appearance on TV in Jack & Bobby. What followed from then on are a string of cameo appearances in other shows. This led to her getting a role in Hidden Palms for 8 episodes in 1st season in 2007. Along with TV work she also got into movies, with her first movie being Friday Night Lights in 2004. 4 years later she was in Never Back Down, before a hit movie Pineapple Express made her recognizable.
For her work, she won an award from Young Hollywood Awards for the Breakthrough Performance in 2008 (for no particular appearance) and is nominated for 2010 MTV Movie Awards for her role in The Stepfather (came out in 2009) as the Best Scared as St Performance. Apart from the movies and TV, in years 2008 and 2009, she was also in FHM's and Maxim's list of Hot and Sexiest 100 women in the respective years. The highest she achieved so far is #21 in 2008 Maxim's Hot list.
It has been reported that she got proposed to by her long term boyfriend Arthur Wybrands back in Apr 2009, but this was never confirmed as true by her agents. She was enrolled and went to St Michael's Catholic Academy, but a year before she quit school, when she was just 16, her closest friend died, and since then she stopped believing in God. |
